Marvel Studios release a new trailer for The Marvels during Good Morning America!

What a way to start the day! Just now, during ABC’s Good Morning America, a new trailer for Marvel Studios’ upcoming sequel to Captain Marvel, WandaVision, and Ms. Marvel, just dropped. The Marvels will release exclusively in theaters on November 10, 2023, and stars Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani. This will be the first Marvel Studios film to truly unite the television series and movies since Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. And probably Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and the Christmas Special… Anyway, The Marvels directly picks up at the end of Ms. Marvel, where Kamala (Iman Vellani) and Carol (Brie Larson) swap places.

After teasing the trailer yesterday with a shoddy message from space searching for Monica Rambeau, we finally get to watch it ourselves! This trailer was first shown during D23 last year, but now there’s more polish and a few more scenes.

Marvel At Them

While details about the plot are scarce, even after the trailer, we do know that The Marvels will explore the concept of legacy, both in terms of the characters and the wider MCU. According to director Nia DaCosta, the movie will take a “multi-generational” approach to storytelling, with the three heroes each representing different eras and aspects of the MCU.

Though the film’s release date was shifted from Summer to the Fall/Winter/Holidays, intrigue for the film appears to be increasing. While some saw it as bad omen of the film’s quality, others are hyped because it likely means an increase in quality and post-production.

Regardless of the reason, The Marvels is shaping up to be one of the most important and exciting films of the year, and fans of the MCU are sure to be counting down the days until its release. Whether it lives up to the hype remains to be seen, but there’s no denying that this is a movie that has the potential to really solidify the television and movie aspects of the MCU in to a more cohesive and unified universe.
