Rise from Dust with the Atlas Fallen gameplay reveal trailer.

There’s something about fighting giant monsters that is almost always a great time. Seeing a towering figure completely tower over your character, yet when you take the beast down and its carcass still overshadows your character, you feel an immense amount of accomplishment. Atlas Fallen looks to understand the assignment and will be delivering giant monster slaying experiences to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on May 16, 2023. Check out the tremendous monster staying and world traversing in store in the gameplay reveal trailer from Focus Entertainment.

The different weapons and abilities promise a variety of play styles for players to learn and master. Combined with the impressive array of beasts to slay, the combinations and possibilities seem endless! The most intriguing aspect is the ability of the players’ weapons to shapeshift. Will that just be an animation that appears on a certain hit number of a combo, or will players get to fully customize which weapons they can wield/conjure/shape based on style, abilities, class, etc.

Weapons and abilities do appear connected and not just random to the combos. But the trailer and the images do not provide a complete picture quite yet. The game looks incredible, but there are still so many questions! Luckily, fans at PAX East will be able to be among the first to get their hands on the game, and hopefully, help shed some light and answer some of the most burning Atlas Fallen questions.

Key Features:

  • Master the sands to explore a unique fantasy world teeming with secrets, locales and dangers
  • Hunt legendary creatures alone or with a friend in heroic, super-powered combat
  • Unleash your power to create deadly shape-shifting weapons
  • Rise as the ultimate champion with unique custom skills and abilities

The key features do help. But will all characters get whips and hammers? Or will only certain characters get certain weapons and abilities? Considering the game has co-op available, it would make sense for characters to vary a bit. Plus, the features say “create” so customization is implied. This hopefully means that almost no two players are the same, Hopefully, this is true in playstyle and aesthetics, as numerous gamers do enjoy customizing their characters. There should be updates and clarifications on the RPG/customization system as well as more on the story and lore this weekend after PAX East.

Atlas Fallen releases May 16 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PCPre-orders are open on all platforms with a special bonus, the “Ruin Rising Pack” DLC with exclusive cosmetic items and combat abilities, for digital pre-orders and retail purchases.
