The famed Netflix Series that continued the legacy of The Karate Kid is coming to an end. Netflix has renewed Cobra Kai for a sixth and final season. Netflix has announced the news with a video announcement highlighting the series so far. Also, In an open letter to the fans, series executive producers and writers, Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlosberg share the news about the conclusion of the beloved series. From its humble YouTube beginning, the series has grown into a juggernaut for Netflix and is set to go out with a bang. Check out the beginning of the end and get ready to say good bye.

The training, the tournaments, the lessons, it has been one hell of a ride with Cobra Kai. Rivals have become friends, friends have become mortal enemies, and now we’re going beyond the All-Valley tournament and getting ready for our favorite dojos to compete on a global stage. It’s been a crazy journey since Johnny first beat up a bunch of punk kids outside of a convenience store, even longer since Daniel first moved to the Valley in 1984. But nearly 40 years later, the world will get to experience this chapter of the Miyagi-verse come to what is set to be a truly badass conclusion.

Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg truly expanded and elevated the Miyagi-verse and the legacy of the Karate Kid franchise. Hopefully, the series end means they will be open to help with the reboot of the movie franchise. But regardless if they get to be a part of the new franchise, they created something magnificent, and though it is sad to see it end, it ends on their terms and the way they want it to. It’s going to be badass!

The first five seasons of Sony Pictures Television’s Cobra Kai are now streaming on Netflix. Season 6 is coming soon.
