Long-time fans and newcomers are tuning in for the past two Sundays and it seems like it won’t be going down any time soon. When it comes to the show’s episode length, fans have been wondering how long each episode is.

The first episode’s runtime was a hefty (yet intriguing) beginning, hitting the one-hour and 25-minute mark. The second episode ran for 55 minutes. We now know some of the possible runtimes of both episodes 3 and 4 of the hit sci-fi drama series based on a new rumor that was posted on the Television subreddit.

According to a rumor that was posted on Reddit, the length of the first four episodes of the series was released. As of right now, the episode that has the highest runtime was the first one, but it appears that episode 3 is a close second running well over an hour in length.

In the post that was written by Reddit user SomeKrazyGuyUKnow_V2, the third episode’s runtime is 80 minutes. This episode will premiere this upcoming Sunday (January 29). For episode 4, the runtime comes close to how long the second episode was, which is 50 minutes. That episode will premiere on February 5.

Now that we have the runtimes, we might know what might happen in episode 3.

WHAT’S IN STORE FOR EPISODE 3?

If you’re a big fan of the PlayStation game series, then you might know what will happen next in the series. It is safe to say that Joel and Ellie’s next adventure will be going to Bill’s Town. Nick Offerman is portraying Bill, and if you don’t who Bill is, he’s actually an old acquaintance of Joel Miller.

Bill was briefly mentioned in the second episode by Tess. According to ComicBook.com, Frank, Bill’s former partner and played by Murray Bartlett will be showing up in the series and probably not in the way that was depicted in the video game.

In the video game, Frank’s body is found by Ellie, Joel, and Bill. However, from the looks of what HBO Max may be doing with the series, we might see the character alive before his untimely demise. It’s going to be interesting to see both Bill and Frank’s introductions in the series.

THE LAST OF US FANBASE IS GROWING

With the success of the video game, which has sold over 10 million copies worldwide, it is no surprise that fans are equally excited to watch this series. As mentioned earlier, the video has become even more successful since the launch of the television series. According to GamesIndustry.biz, The Last of Us Part 1 sales jumped 238% in the UK after the series debuted. It landed at the No. 20 spot after the sales jumped during the week of January 21.

When it comes to its PS4 predecessor, The Last of Us: Remastered also saw a boost in sales with a 322% jump that placed it at No. 32. This is an exciting time for both The Last of Us creator Naughty Dog, HBO, and HBO Max. As the series continues in the next few weeks, there’s no doubt that viewership will continue growing. According to those who have already seen episode 3, many believe it is one of the best episodes in the series and we can’t wait to see what’s in store.
