The SAG Awards Nominations are just around the corner. Who will get nominated for the prestigious award?
This is a big week for Awards pundits. While a lot of the focus lies on the Oscar race, with important precursors like the Producers and Directors Guild Awards nominations, TV fans also have something to look forward to. The Golden Globes are back this week and are for sure have some exciting TV categories to offer.
But we are here to talk about the SAG (Screen Actors Guild) Awards. As the name is probably already revealed, this Awards group focuses on the actors. With Emmy Season getting nearer and nearer it might be interesting to see which newer shows will show up here.

So, without further ado lets jump right into my predictions for the SAG Awards TV nominations:
DRAMA ENSEMBLE
My Predictions: The Crown, House of the Dragon, Severance, The White Lotus: Sicily, Better Call Saul
This is pretty much the Top 5 when looking at the Odds on GoldDerby. While I think Ozark or maybe even Stranger Things could surprise here, I feel pretty confident in these.
DRAMA ACTOR
My Predictions: Bob Odenkirk – Better Call Saul, Adam Scott – Severance, Jeff Bridges – The Old Man, Jason Bateman – Ozark, Matt Smith – House of the Dragon
These are the Top 4 as well with one exception. Matt Smith is a wild-card pick, but I see a world where he gets in. But he has to face off between two The Crown (Jonathan Pryce & Dominic West) actors, which could be very hard to overcome.
DRAMA ACTRESS
My Predictions: Zendaya – Euphoria, Imelda Staunton – The Crown, Jennifer Coolidge – The White Lotus: Sicily, Laura Linney – Ozark, Elizabeth Debicki – The Crown
Now, these picks are pretty safe again, even though I could see Rhea Seehorn taking Debicki’s spot, I’ll keep my money on The Crown for now.
COMEDY ENSEMBLE
My Predictions: Abbott Elementary, Hacks, Only Murder in the Building, The Bear, Wednesday
While the first four are pretty much set, I think that Wednesday will surprise me here. A global mega-hit with a wonderful-charming cast. It has its competition with Barry and Atlanta, but I feel like it will go out on top.
COMEDY ACTOR
My Predictions: Martin short – Only Murders in the Building, Bill Hader – Barry, Jeremy Allen White – The Bear, Steve Martin – Only Murders in the Building, Tyler James Williams – Abbott Elementary

This is another easy Top 5 where only really Barry’s Henry Winkler or maybe Atlanta’s Donald Glover could surprise.
COMEDY ACTRESS
My predictions: Jean Smart – Hacks, Quinta Brunson – Abbott Elementary, Sheryl Lee Ralph – Abbott Elementary, Christina Applegate – Dead to Me, Jenna Ortega – Wednesday
This is a very competitive category as Hannah Einbinder (Hacks), Janelle James (Abbott Elementary), Selena Gomez (Only Murders in the Building), and Rachel Brosnahan (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) all could snatch a place in the Top 5.
TV MOVIE/MINI ACTOR
My Predictions: Evan Peters – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Sebastian Stan – Pam and Tommy, Andrew Garfield – Under the Banner of Heaven, Steve Carell – The Patient, Paul Walter Hauser – Black Bird
This is another category where a lot could happen. Colin Firth (The Staircase) could end up being nominated, I’ll go on a limb and predict Walter Hauser. Taron Egerton (Black Bird), Kumail Nanjiani (Welcome to Chippendales), and Richard Jenkins (Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story) are also just close behind.
TV MOVIE/MINI ACTRESS
My Predictions: Amanda Seyfried – The Dropout, Lilly James – Pam and Tommy, Niecy Nash – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Jessica Chastain – George and Tammy, Julia Garner – Inventing Anna
Last but not least another easy Top 5 with Emily Blunt (The English), Toni Collete (The Staircase), and Julia Roberts (Gaslit) potentially upsetting.

The SAG Awards Nominations will be announced on January 11, 2023.
