MultiVersus Adds Dwayne Johnson Black Adam Variant and New Game of Thrones Map for FestiVersus 2022 Event

Warner Bros. Games today announced that a new MultiVersus Black Adam character variant featuring the likeness of Dwayne Johnson from the Warner Bros. Pictures and DC film is available now for in-game purchase as part of Season 2.

You could say, finally, The Rock has come back to MultiVersus! Warner Bros. Games officially announced some new content for the fighting game this week, including a new character variant for DC Comics’ Black Adam featuring the likeness of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The Black Adam variant, along with a new Game of Thrones map set in the legendary “Throne Room” are now available for the game.

WB Games also shared details on a new holiday-themed seasonal event, FestiVersus 2022. You can get a look at the new in-game character variant for Black Adam below:

MULTIVERSUS KICKS OFF WINTER FESTIVERSUS 2022 EVENT WITH A BLACK ADAM VARIANT AND GAME OF THRONES MAP

The new Black Adam variant based on The Rock and the Throne Room map from Game of Thrones are now available to purchase in-game as part of Season 2. The Throne Room is playable in all gameplay modes and will also be included as part of all playlist rotations.

In the Throne Room, players will be able to throw their opponents away from the Iron Throne and traverse various Westeros-themed hazards against the backdrop of a remix to the iconic Game of Thrones theme music.

Additionally, WB Games has also announced the seasonal in-game event, MultiVersus FestiVersus 2022. The new event will allow players to take part in matches and earn Holiday Cookies in exchange for rewards. Some of the new holiday-themed variants include an Ugly Sweater Superman character variant, a Gingerbread Toast profile icon, a Snowman ringout, and a Let It Snow sticker emote.

Players will be allowed to log in and play the game on 12 separate days throughout the event to earn an increasing amount of Holiday Cookies and also receive the MVSnowflake profile icon on the 12th day. Players will be able to enjoy the FestiVersus 2022 rewards and holiday items from now until Jan. 18, 2023. The cutoff time is 10:00 AM PT.

MultiVersus is free-to-play and available now for multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows PC. The fighting game is developed by Player First Games and features 2 vs 2 battles and an all-star cast of iconic characters, including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Black Adam, Scooby-Doo’s Shaggy and Velma, Bugs Bunny, the Tasmanian Devil, Marin the Martian, Arya Stark from Game of Thrones, Tom & Jerry, Finn the Human and Jake from Adventure Time, Steven Universe, the Giant from The Iron Giant, LeBron James, Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith, Gizmo, and Stripe, and more.

WB Games also plans on adding more heroes and personalities to the video game in the near future. It should be interesting to see what Player First Games comes up with for future seasonal events.
