The new trailer showcased Cal Kestis (Cameron Monaghan), no longer a Padawan, and now a full-fledged Jedi Knight. As a stronger and more experienced Jedi Knight, Cal now has to face more grave threats that currently await him. Per Lucasfilm, the team at Respawn Entertainment specifically developed the game for the latest generation of gaming hardware, so fans can expect some action-packed Jedi combat, along with deeper exploration elements and some intense cinematic gameplay that they’ve come to expect after the first game.

The story picks up five years after Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Cal Kestis still has to continue evading the constant pursuit of the Empire. With BD-1 by his side, Kestis joins forces with new and old allies to help him on his quest, including the mercenary Bode Akuna (Noshir Dalal), and former crew member Cere Junda (Debra Wilson).

The new trailer reveals some of the game’s new skills and abilities, including a new traversal option with the ascension cable. Players will also have the ability to tame and ride creatures in the new game. It also appears from the trailer that Cal’s friend Bode Akuna will also be able to join in the combat at certain points.

New combat stances have also been introduced for Survivor, including Dual Lightsabers at last. There is also a new Crossguard stance, and from the looks of it, players will be able to obtain a lightsaber with crossguard ports. Players as Cal will face many threats, including Stormtroopers, Imperial Sentry Droids, and powerful, mysterious beings throughout the course of his quest. Cal’s journey will also take players to both familiar and new worlds across the Galaxy.
