A new intriguing animated series, Haisley, is currently being developed.

It’s the golden era for TV. Multiple big streaming services are fighting for the domination of the market and there still are new ones coming. While not every single one becomes a huge deal, there are more than enough series for audiences to watch and enjoy. The biggest contenders on the market still are Netflix, Disney+, and HBO Max, which all have exciting shows coming up in the next few months to further implement their leadership.

Netflix currently has another huge hit on its hands with the just-released Wednesday series, which was just confirmed to have broken multiple Netflix viewership records. It shouldn’t be too long before we get a Season 2 announcement, but even before that Netflix’s controversial Dahmer series was the talk of the town.

Disney+ has the big franchises with Marvel and Star Wars but is simultaneously looking to increase its library with reinventions of familiar films, just like its Escape to Witch Mountain series, which we exclusively revealed to be in development.

HBO Max is bringing the goods with the currently airing second season of The White Lotus, the highly anticipated The Last of Us series, and the return of the Emmy-winning show Succession in the Spring of next year.

What If...? Guardians of the Multiverse Haisley

Now one thing that gets rarer on these streaming services is big animated series. Netflix struck gold with last year’s League of Legends-inspired series Arcane and this year’s Cyberpunk 2077-inspired Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. But big success stories rarely happen with animated content, even when studios like Marvel tip their toe into the water. Their first-ever animated series What If…? wasn’t as much of an audience hit as one might have expected and while it is confirmed that the show will return, there aren’t a lot of new original animated series that become the next big thing.

Now we at The Illuminerdi can exclusively tell you a bit about a new original animated show that is currently in development.

HAISLEY IS AN INTRIGUING NEW ANIMATED SERIES IS ON THE HORIZON

Haisley is currently being developed for a huge streaming service. Miranda Spigener-Sapon is set to direct at least one episode and is also a writer on the show. Most of the creatives involved have already worked together on previous projects.

Haisley

The Haisley series was described to us as a sci-fi/noir for the entire family. It follows a normal young girl living at home with her father after her mother left on a trip and was never seen again. One night she wakes up in a weird and magical world. There she must learn about love, kindness, and friendship to save her family, friends, and the world as we know it.

The leading character was described as a 6-8-year-old girl of mixed ethnicity. Additionally, she is described as a white female of Half Tbilisi Georgian descent, with blonde hair, green eyes, and an American accent. She is eastern European in her family line on her father’s side but was born in America.

An intriguing tidbit our sources told us is that the production team is already planning Haisley’s second season and if they get to do more the series could mix in live-action elements. That is why the creatives want the actress to resemble Haisley.
