THE ROCK REVEALS COOL NEW DOCTOR FATE POSTER FOR BLACK ADAM

Doctor Fate Pierce Brosnan

Johnson noted in the caption, “‘Fate does not make mistakes’ ~ DR. FATE Played by the one and only @PierceBrosnan #BlackAdam OCTOBER 21st.” In the upcoming DC Universe film, Black Adam is freed from a tomb after being imprisoned for 5,000 years. Years ago, Black Adam received almighty powers from the gods. However, he was soon imprisoned not long after. Now, Black Adam seeks to enact his form of justice in the modern world.

The character of Doctor Fate has been a fixture of the DC Universe for years. He made his first appearance in 1940 in More Fun Comics #55, created by Gardner Fox and Howard Sherman. The character has made many appearances over the years in television and animation. However, this film marks Doctor Fate’s big-screen, live-action cinematic debut.

The new poster looks impressive. It offers a nice look at Doctor Fate in his full costume. The poster offers an exceptional up-close and detailed look at Doctor Fate’s costume. You can see all patterns and writing on his gloves, helmet, and costume. Not to mention, many of the hallmarks of Doctor Fate’s costume that he has maintained over the years have been kept for his big-screen debut, including his helmet, cape, and blue and gold suit.

It appears the production faithfully adapted the character’s original look from the comics, complete with his blue suit, his golden Helmet of Fate, and the Egyptian Ankh motif that is sometimes associated with the character. In the upcoming film, Doctor Fate looks to be a member of the Justice Society of America (JSA), led by Carter Hall/Hawkman. Other heroes in the JSA for the film include Cyclone and Atom Smasher.

While the film still has a couple of months out before it hits theaters, it’s at least nice to see that the project appears to have faithfully and authentically adapted Doctor Fate’s classic, iconic look for the film, complete with his flowing cape.

Black Adam stars The Rock as the eponymous antihero, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati-Moyer, and Bodhi Sabongui. Johnson reteams with his Jungle Cruise director Jaume Collet-Serra for the upcoming DCEU universe film.
