MultiVersus: Black Adam and Gremlins’ Stripe Are Next Players To Enter The Battle

Some new fighters are officially joining the MultiVersus roster with the launch of Season 1. Warner Bros. Games announced the kickoff of Season 1 for MultiVersus, along with new additions to the roster: DC's Black Adam and Gremlin Leader Stripe from the original Gremlins movie.

Some new fighters are officially joining the MultiVersus roster with the launch of Season 1. Warner Bros. Games announced the kickoff of Season 1 for MultiVersus, along with upcoming new additions to the roster: DC’s Black Adam and Gremlin Leader Stripe from the original Gremlins movie.

Per Warner Bros. Games, Black Adam and Stripe will be joining the game later in Season 1 in the coming months. Other new fighters to join the roster later in Season 1 will be Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith from Rick and Morty. They will join the roster on Aug. 23. New modes will also be made available in the coming months for Season 1, such as Classic Arcade and Ranked.

Along with the launch of Season 1 for the game, Warner Bros. Games also revealed the details of the new Battle Pass for the game. The new Battle Pass for Season 1 is available now for all players. The Battle Pass includes a free option for players where they can still earn in-game rewards. Under the Premium path, players can unlock and earn more in-game rewards. Players will also have the option to upgrade their Battle Pass at any time during Season 1.

Under the Free Track for Battle Pass Season 1, players can still earn in-game gold, XP boosts, unique badges, icons, and stickers. Players who go through the entire Free Track for MultiVersus will also have the chance to unlock the I’m Freakin’ Robin skin for LeBron James from Space Jam: A New Legacy.

Players who spend 950 Gleamium or redeem a battle pass token will be able to unlock the premium option for the Season 1 Battle Pass. All players who unlock the premium options will receive Toon Squad ’96 Taz from the original Space Jam. Other rewards in the premium track will include Harley Task Force X, Flashback Garnet, new ringout animations, stickers, and XP boosts.

Other cosmetics for the direct purchase outside of the Battle Pass for the game include a Kungu Fu variant for Shaggy from Scooby-Doo and Jake the Starchild variant for Jake the Dog from Adventure Time. Cosmetics in the game will be ranked in the game on tiers of uncommon to rare to epic to legendary. The different in-game cosmetic tiers are determined by the unique features of the items and the visual effects that go along with them.

It looks like Warner Bros. also teased an exciting new upcoming cosmetic for Batman for the game based on the classic Batman: The Animated Series.

MultiVersus is available now as a free download for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One consoles. It’s also available for Windows PC. The free-to-play platform fighter is developed by Player First Games and features a 2 vs. 2 format with an all-star roster from various Warner Bros. properties.The starter roster includes Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Shaggy, Velma, Bugs Bunny, Taz, Arya Stark, Tom & Jerry, Jake the Dog, Finn the Human, Steve Universe, Garnet, and the Iron Giant.
