Power Morphicon 2022 lightning Pass for Guest of Honor, Ryota Ozawa. The Super Sentai actor is famous for his role as Gokai Red’s Captain Marvelous in the series, Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. The special pass will allow fans to meet the legendary Japanese actor ahead of others, with both a prepaid signature and Photo Ops for an individual included. This Sentai Ranger will also be joined by other Super Sentai members at the Power Rangers convention.
Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger is one of the most iconic Super Sentai series in the history of the franchise. The 35th installment first aired in 2011 and featured as anniversary series with a pirate-themed Ranger team that could transform into Rangers from other shows via Ranger Keys. Even with the show adaptation into Power Rangers Super Megaforce, the show had a unique and special run that made it recognizable worldwide. The popularity of Gokaiger has kept the momentum going for the return of the cast, with appearances in many Super Sentai shows that preceded its run. These included specials in ZyuOhger and Zenkaiger and a 10-year anniversary Movie, which saw the cast return.

The guests of honor from the Super Sentai series are appearing at Power Morphicon courtesy of Toku Spirits. Along with Ryota Ozawa, Toshihide Wakamatsu was also announced to appear at the event as a guest of honor. Toshihide is best known for playing Black Condor, Gai Yuki, in the 15th Sentai Series, Chojin Sentai Jetman. The iconic series Toshihide starred in has previously been released by Shout! Factory as a Complete Series DVD for Sentai fans in the west.
Ryota Ozawa Lightning Pass at Power Morphicon 2022
Fans attending Power Morphicon 2022 will be able to meet the guest of honor, Ryota Ozawa, with special Lightning passes. These passes allow 1 person to skip ahead of the lines for both signatures and photo ops, plus include a Gokaiger special event pin. Included in the package is a prepared signature and Photo Op that can only be used for one person. The passes can be purchased for each day of the event, which includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
It’s fantastic that fans will be able to use this pass to meet Captain Marvelous without having to worry about the queues. Fans will still be able to meet the Sentai’s great Red Ranger, but the pass will help by including everything in one package. It will be a fantastic opportunity for any Toku fan as this is the first time that Ozawa will appear at PMC. If any meet and greet the actor, it will likely lead to the other cast members attending the convention in the future. For now, this legendary actor will be an awesome person to meet, so don’t let this opportunity pass.
Black Condor at Power Morphicon 2022
Jetman’s Black Condor has been highlighted as a Guest of Honor, with the legendary Toshihide Wakamatsu attending Power Morphicon 2022 is a fantastic opportunity as Jetman has one of the most iconic endings in Sentai History, with the Black Ranger being the first death of a core team member, which happened during a finale. This death was so iconic that it was even recreated as a special attack move in Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger. Toshihide Wakamatsu’s Gai Yuki also appeared in Gokaiger to represent his Ranger team, despite his character’s death

As Jetman was released by Shout! Factory via DVD and their streaming service, many fans would love to meet this actor due to his iconic role. The release of the DVDs meant that Sentai fans can now watch and enjoy various Super Sentai shows officially, even after the show’s original run in 1991. The fact that Toshihide has also appeared in Gokaiger adds greater value to his appearance, since having Black Condor appear is special for both Sentai shows.
Fans often worry about the language barrier that can occur when meeting stars from Japan. However, they are often assisted by translators that are at the booths with them. Meeting these Sentai Rangers is a must for many fans, so grab these treasured moments while you can. It’s the first-time western fans will be able to show gratitude to Ryota Ozawa for his role, so make sure you show how much love there is for Super Sentai outside of Japan.
