San Diego Comic Con began as a comic convention, but it has grown into a huge celebration of all things nerd including not only comics, but television, movies, videos games, collectibles, and much more. Comics are at the heart of so much of today’s media with countless movies, television series, and video games based on already existing comic IP with Marvel and DC being some of the biggest movies and television series to come out. But do new comic book creators know how to navigate the business landscape of today’s market including Hollywood?

There have been a number of stories where comic creators felt they weren’t given the credit they deserve especially when their comic has been adapted. SDCC has a panel, The Importance Of Comics Creators Owning Their Own IP, that will help creators and aspiring creators understand and navigate these waters. The Zestworld team along with a few exciting guests from the industry will be breaking down what creators should know to protect their work so that they can not only get it out into the world, but be credited and paid what they deserve. Check out details about the panel including the special guests, time, and location below.
