At this year’s Anime Expo, we got to interview Spy x Family’s Yor and Anya Forger, Natalie Van Sistine and Megan Shipman.

Global sensation Spy x Family is now streaming Season 1 Part 1 subbed and dubbed on Crunchyroll. The anime revolves around a makeshift family of a spy, an assassin, and a child psychic. Each member of the family hides their secret from the other. Only Anya knows everyone’s secret, but thankfully her childish imagination and loyalty to her new family keep everyone’s secret safe. While their secrets constantly put them in danger, their earnestness to love and support each other allows them to deal with anything that comes their way.

At this year’s Animex Expo, we got to interview two members of the Forger Family, Yor Forger and Anya Forger, or at least their English Voice Over performers, Natalie Van Sistine and Megan Shipman. They shared their love of the series, especially how unique it is compared to a lot of other series but also in their characters. The series story really allows them to play with unique characters and situations that are unlike anything else out there. Watch our interview our friends at Crunchyroll were so gracious to fit us into during an incredibly busy weekend at Anime Expo 2022.

In our interview with Spy x Family stars Natalie Van Sistine and Megan Shipman, we not only got to learn about their favorite parts of their characters, but also the incredibly technical process of dubbing. When hearing it all laid out like that it does seem daunting, but watching and experiencing their performances in the series seems so effortless and natural. It’s one of those things you appreciate without really understanding, but are always grateful for. Especially with such a spectacular series such as this one.

We also find out the actress’s thoughts on Anya’s desire for a pistol and a silencer and the likelihood of ever getting it.

Spy x Family Season 1 Part 1 is now fully available subbed and dubbed in multiple languages on Crunchyroll. Part 2 is set to release in October 2022 with a high-stakes terrorist mission. Thankfully Crunchyroll Simulcasts the series. Part 1 simulcast on Saturdays 8:30am PDT so it wouldn’t be unreasonable to believe they would do the same for Part 2.
