Get your first look at the High Evolutionary in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.

It’s no question that the Guardians Of The Galaxy films by Director James Gunn are vulnerable, human, and full of morality that feels organic placed alongside the other chapters of the MCU. And it’s safe to say that this could be the last time The Guardians of The Galaxy assemble as a team, and the day coming to an end finds closure to the isolation they harbor.

The beauty of James Gunn utilizing the character, and emotional empathy of Peter Quill, longing to find purpose, Gamora and Nebula being allegorical chess pieces of childhood abuse, Drax The Destroyer struggling to find worth without his family, Rocket Raccoon a clear reflection of imposter syndrome, and Groot, the heart of the team. Each character is brought together by tragedy. Now the broken trauma of their past is what keeps each unique and creative beyond all measures.

With, Guardians Of The Galaxy, Vol 3 filming down in Atlanta, Georgia. Director James Gunn and the entire cast are hard at work creating the visceral conclusion to the simple story. Gunn added a few characters to his sandboxes, including Will Poulter joining the MCU as Adam Warlock, and Chukwudi Iwuji has been cast in an undisclosed role. Though signs are pointing to Iwuji’s role being revealed as The High Evolutionary, no official announcement has been revealed as of this point.

However, some recent set photos could give some credibility and a first official look at Halfworld, which many know in the comics is where the High Evolutionary is from, and the homeworld of Rocket Racoon. From the set, photo’s shown the set feels like a planet locked in time, with a bunch of human-animal hybrids, and the practical effects not only look and feel incredible.

Now, The Cosmic Circus has shared what could be our first official look at The High Evolutionary in the Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3

The High Evolutionary teaser image is unique because it shows a new alien language that could coincide with the theory of Halfword, taking inspiration from the MCU’s prime earth. It feels like graffiti on a concrete wall. This could signify that Halfword could be deadlocked in a war or rebellion against the High Evolutionary. The character in the teaser image looks like Iwuji under practical effects.

It seems if all the signs are pointing to Rocket returning home, could we see other characters from his past, or will flashbacks ensue, and how will the character of Peter Quill who finally found a family will, get to see what his best friend went through and changed him. None of this is confirmed, just a few theories being food for thought.

Of course, to add some clarity to the theory pool Gunn did shed light on Iwuji’s character and role in the film. Last November Gunn tweeted out in response to when a first official cast photo was revealed showing Iwuji from the set on day 1 of filming.

As of now Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 3 is currently filming, and it feels with outdoor shooting occurring that more leaks could be revealed. In addition to Vol 3 filming, Gunn is also working on the Guardians Holiday Special which is slated for a release on Disney+ later this year. And a GOTG Vol 3 has a slated release date of May 5, 2023, next year. One thing is clear fans are in for a treat and the cosmic reality of The MCU continues to expand.
