My Hero Academia

The next installment of My Hero Academia is set to screen its first episode during the Hero Fes event, which is finally returning to Japan in July. The event is being held for the return of the popular anime series, with the season 6 celebration featuring the Japanese voice actors. The release of the new episode will only be a special screening as the broadcast will start for the 6th season in the fall.

My Hero Academia started as a manga series that was written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi. The first anime series premiered on April 3rd, 2016, with three movies linked in with the story told over 5 seasons. The story primarily follows Izuku Midoriya, who was born without a quirk in a world almost everyone has one. As Midoriya follows his dream to become the number 1 hero, he pushes himself to the top with his fellow classmates, with his inherited quirk that was gifted to him from the current No. 1 hero, All Might.

Midoriya’s inherited quirk, One-For-All, is currently in a stage of evolution, meaning that he has begun to inherit the power of a previous predecessor of the quirk. Along with Todoroki and Bakugou, training under Endeavor has given the students a chance of seeing the abilities of a top-rank hero. The 6th series will continue after the events of the movie My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission, which was released last year.

Long time fan of Tokusatsu fan since Power Rangers was first released in the 90s. Whereas most Superhero fans grew up with DC Comics and Marvel, my childhood was surrounded by releases from Saban Entertainment such as Beetleborgs, along with anime, and other various fads of the generation. Anime is also a great passion with Digimon, That Time I Was Reincarnated As A Slime, and Demon Slayer being significant favorites. It was the love of both Power Rangers and Digimon that led to the path of becoming a Senior Writer for The Illuminerdi.
