Crunchyroll Announces Anime Awards Winners

The winners of this year's Crunchyroll Anime Awards have been revealed.

The winners of this year’s Crunchyroll Anime Awards have been revealed.

After a year of successful animes, Crunchyroll celebrated and nominated them for their Anime Awards show. This year marked the sixth time Crunchyroll hosted this annual awards ceremony. This year’s award ceremony honored those involved in anime, such as creators, musicians, characters, voice actors, and series. After receiving seventeen million votes worldwide, Crunchyroll announced the winners of their sixth annual Anime Awards. Those votes came from territories such as the United States, Brazil, France, Mexico, the United Kingdom, India, Argentina, Canada, Chile, and Germany. Voting for the Anime Awards started online on January 18th and ended on January 25th.

The 2022 Crunchyroll Anime Awards winners consisted of many fan-favorite animes. Attack On Titan, Demon Slayer, and the Jujutsu Kaisen animes were the biggest winners of this year’s awards ceremony. Attack On Titan Final Season Part 1 was able to win four awards, including Anime Of The Year and Best Opening Sequence. Jujutsu Kaisen captured three awards, including Best Character Design and Best Girl. Demon Slayer meanwhile won the most awards, with its current animes Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train Arc and Kimetsu no Yaiba movie winning a combined total of five awards, including Best Animation and Best Score.

Demon Slayer, also won three extra awards with their movie Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train winning best film. The anime series Oddtaxi was able to win two awards, winning Best Director and Best Protagonist. Other notable animes that also won awards are Ranking of Kings, Komi Can’t Communicate, To Your Eternity, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2, Horimiya, and SK8 The Infinity.

This year’s Crunchyroll Anime Awards show was a memorable one. Many fan-favorite anime series that have been nominated won their respective categories. Even the nominees who haven’t won an award should still deserve praise because of their hard work and contribution to the anime world. 2022 expects to have a great lineup of new anime series and films. Hopefully, they can all be acknowledged or nominated in next year’s and 7th Crunchy Roll Anime Awards Show.
