The official countdown to another exciting year of Marvel Studios content is underway and with it comes updates on their many upcoming releases. Originally expected to hit in 2021 the eagerly awaited Ms. Marvel is finally set to release on an unspecified date this summer, but apparently not without undergoing a few last minutes tweaks.

On Instagram, Ms. Marvel director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy revealed via set photos that the series is currently doing reshoots in Atlanta, Georgia. One of the photos shows a telescopic handler assisting in lifting the infrastructure for filming, with the caption sticker “play time.” Obaid-Chinoy also shared photos of her director’s chair on set, again confirming that the series is undergoing reshoots.

With the exception of the teaser announcement and first look late last year very little is known about the series. Leaving some to speculate on what these reshoots could entail. But it’s worth noting that all of Marvel’s projects schedule time for later reshoots. Even the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness recently wrapped on some last minute changes. And with The Marvels currently filming and being the next time we will see Ms Marvel after her Disney+ series debut, this could very well be the series finding a better way to bring the character into the wider universe.

Regardless the series is still slated to hit its summer release date, and looks to be a very exciting chapter in the ever growing MCU.
