The Disney+ Beauty and the Beast prequel series, The Little Town, aims to begin filming in Spring confirms Star Josh Gad.
Officially revealed at 2020’s Disney Investors Day, The Little Town is set to reunite Josh Gad and Luke Evans as LeFou and Gaston. Fans have last seen the duo in Disney’s live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast released in 2017. The film starred Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as the Beast.
Josh Gad Shared When The Little Town Aims to Begin Production
In an interview with ComicBook.com, Gad stated:
“We’re still planning on shooting this spring and the scripts are incredible, the music is unbelievable, all-new songs by Alan Menken, we’re casting now.”
With the production set to start in spring and the casting now being underway, we can expect more news about The Little Town in the upcoming months.
The Little Town is helmed by Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis, the creators of Once Upon a Time. Briana Middleton, who just made her feature film debut in George Clooney’s The Tender Bar, also joined the cast as LeFou’s (Josh Gad) step-sister Tilly. The trio are said to be the focus of the show. Alan Menken the composer of the show and the original animated Beauty and the Beast revealed that the prequel series will be titled The Little Town in reference to the song Belle performed from the original film.
Unfortunately, The Little Town has no release date yet.
