Sebastian Stan had some fun pushing Tom Holland’s buttons recently.
The MCU is a highly successful film franchise. Some would go as far to say that it’s the MOST successful film franchise ever. In 2021, Marvel released a record-breaking 10 projects: WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, Black Widow, What If…?, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Eternals, Hawkeye, and Spider-Man: No Way Home. In those projects, Spider-Man and Wong actually appeared the most times.
Sebastian Stan is a pretty great actor, with 5 MCU films under his belt, and his own MCU TV series (though he shares it with Anthony Mackie). He’s currently working on The 355, which releases on January 7 and has been rumored to appear in several TV series, including Armor Wars and Ironheart.
It’s also known that MCU actors like to stay on top of recent MCU content, so they can be prepared for their next projects. However, Stan admitted he hasn’t seen Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Winter Soldier Actor Sebastian Stan Messes With Tom Holland
In an interview with Jake’s Takes for Sebastian Stan’s upcoming film, The 355, Stan spoke about how he still hasn’t seen Spider-Man: No Way Home, though he really does want to at some point.
I haven’t seen Spider-Man: No Way Home yet because I haven’t been to a theater. I haven’t managed to go to a theater yet, but I do want to see it because I love the idea that it brings back all these characters from the past and just seeing all of them are going to interact in that one movie.Sebastian Stan when asked if he had seen Spider-Man: No Way Home
Stan also spoke about his ongoing love-hate relationship with Tom Holland, and ended up tossing some shade (surely in jest) his way.
Here’s what he said:
But I typically don’t like to support Tom Holland so it’s difficult. I support the films, but not him so much.Sebastian Stan when asked if he had seen Spider-Man: No Way Home

While it’s surprising to hear that Stan hasn’t seen Spider-Man: No Way Home yet, it’s not so surprising to hear Stan poking fun at Holland. If you’ve seen one of their interviews together before, it’s evident that they like playfully insulting each other. Back to the main subject, though: the fact that Sebastian Stan still hasn’t seen No Way Home is surprising, since MCU actors have a track record of trying to keep on top of all new content coming their way with the Marvel brand. Maybe he’ll see the movie soon though? Only time will tell.
