One Piece Celebrates 1000th Episode Airing With Special Livestream

One Piece has reached a huge milestone, as their 1000thepisode will finally air today. As a bonus, the occasion will be marked with a livestream event to celebrate. The pirate adventure anime first aired in 1999 and is one of the most renown shōnen shows. Both Funimation and Crunchyroll will both be celebrating the occasion with anime fans.

One Piece first started as a manga that started July 22, 1997, with the release currently having 100 volumes. The series is still ongoing as the 101st will be released December this year.

This makes One Piece the 25th longest running manga series by volume amount. The show continues to bless fans with the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew as they set out to obtain the One Piece to gain the title, greatest Pirate.

Monkey D. Luffy refuses to let anyone, or anything stand in the way of his quest to become king of all pirates. With a course charted for the treacherous waters of the Grand Line, this is one captain who’ll never drop anchor until he’s claimed the greatest treasure on Earth—the Legendary One Piece!

It will be great to see this epic episode and is a chance for all fans to celebrate One Piece and share their excitement for the milestone. It will be interesting to see where the Straw Hat Pirates venture next and whatever obstacles they need to overcome to bring them one step closer to their prize. Here is a special preview of the episode.

Episode 1000 will be Titled “Overwhelming Strength! The Straw Hats Come Together!”. The episode will be available Saturday, November 20 @ 9:00 pm EST / 6:00 pm PST on both Funimation and Crunchyroll.

Fans will also have another event to look forward to as they can learn how to make Luffy’s Favorite Food, ‘Meat on the Bone’. This special event will be hosted by RogersBase. This will also be joined by the opportunity to catch up with episodes 998 and 999 of the series. The event will be livestreamed on the following locations.
