No release date or release date for the project has been announced by Warner Bros., HBO Max’s parent company. We recently reported that Firefly could be the possible villain of the film.

Shazam Costume Designer Leah Butler Thinks Batgirl Could Be Super Fun To Design
During a recent interview with us, Leah Butler, the Costume Designer for Shazam recently expressed interest in taking a crack at caped crusader.
You are responsible for one of the coolest costume designs for superheroes, which is Shazam. Is there any other superheroes you’d like to take your crack at?
Leah Butler: Gosh, I would love to see one of the femme Fatales; a female, a very strong female. I know that Batgirl is in the works, or something like that would be super fun for me. I just think that there’s so much to portray right now in women, and their strength and, and go forward in. Yeah, that would be fun for me.
Leah Butler was able to walk the fine line of honoring Shazam’s traditional look from his comic book counterpart and making something that seemed cinematic and was the perfect rendition of a superhero based on wish fulfillment.
It’s unknown what Butler’s approach to Batgirl would with her experience in the genre we’d love to see what she could do.
