The wait is finally over! Fans of Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man games officially have their first look at the highly anticipated Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
The trailer was revealed as a part of Sony’s PlayStation showcase event that took place today. It showed off some beautiful cinematics featuring both Spider-Men (Peter Parker and Miles Morales), as well as teased the main villains of the game which will be Kraven the Hunter and Venom.
Kraven the Hunter being involved was the big surprise of the trailer as Venom has previously been teased in both Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
While not explicitly shown in the trailer, Kraven the Hunter is the one giving the dialogue throughout most of the trailer, looking for a worthy opponent. Kraven saying, “Will one of you give me what I desire?”, before transitioning to Venom replying, “Yes we will…”
What Can We Expect From Marvel’s Spider-Man 2?
Here is what Sony themselves had to say about what to expect from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2:
“While pushing the capabilities of the console will be very exciting, we’re equally pumped to craft all-new stories for Peter and Miles in this sequel. Just as in our previous Spider-Man games, we not only want to tell a great Super Hero story, but also deliver a compelling human story, one full of heart and humor that dives deep into the people behind the mask.”
One of the best aspects of the first game was the incredibly personal story that Insomniac Games was able to give us. It seems that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 won’t be holding back either and fans could not be more excited.

Everyone’s favorite Web-crawler will also be featured as PlayStation exclusive DLC for Marvel’s Avengers later this fall. Wolverine was also announced to be joining the Marvel games scene in Marvel’s Wolverine which will take place in the same universe as Marvel’s Spider-Man.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to release sometime in 2023 exclusively on PlayStation 5. The game features the voices of Yuri Lowenthal and Nadji Jeter as Peter Parker and Miles Morales respectively. Joining them will be Tony Todd as Venom. No other voice actors have been confirmed at this time.
