IMPACT Wrestling has set their sights on Bray Wyatt and will be trying to sign the newly released wrestler.

Now that CM Punk has signed with AEW Wyatt is definitely the hottest free agent in the business. AEW to no one’s surprise is reportedly very interested in Bray Wyatt and are looking to sign him. It was also expressed by AEW higher-ups that the expectation was Wyatt would be signing with AEW once he was able, according to Wrestling Inc. However, according to Dave Meltzer via the Sunday Night’s Main Event podcast, IMPACT has also shown some interest in signing Wyatt. Meltzer went as far as saying IMPACT is “really after” Wyatt.

Bray Wyatt Going To IMPACT Would Be A Huge Signing

It seems like the biggest names who leave WWE always go to AEW with the mid-carders or lower mid-card wrestlers going to IMPACT. However, if the company was able to get Wyatt that would be a tremendous signing. IMPACT might not be the worst place for him to end up.

The reason Bray Wyatt going to IMPACT may be a good idea is freedom. The wrestling outlet isn’t as popular so they don’t have to worry as much about taking chances and losing ratings. They took chances on Matt Hardy and gave him freedom to create Broken Matt Hardy and it took the world by storm and yes I know there were a lot of different people in charge at the time.

Bray Wyatt is so creative and when given a little bit of freedom he was able to make the Firefly Funhouse and The Fiend the hottest thing in WWE at the time. If he was given a lot of freedom, who knows what kind of buzz and interest he could create for IMPACT. Also with IMPACT and AEW sharing talent with their partnership, Bray Wyatt showing up on AEW TV could bring people over to the growing outlet and boost their ratings even more.

Personally I think AEW is a better choice for Wyatt. He has the best and biggest names outside of WWE there as potential opponents.

However, we have no idea where Wyatt wants to go or if he has interest in either promotion.  For all we know he is looking at Japan.  We do know that he wants to continue wrestling and has hinted at a Kult of Windham faction which looks to be a new Wyatt Family of sorts.

Perfect Opportunities To Debut

Bray Wyatt was released July 31. His 90-day non-compete clause will expire on Oct. 29. The very next week is the AEW Full Throttle PPV which would be a great opportunity to debut. However, IMPACT Bound For Glory is the week prior so he would miss that opportunity to debut at an IMPACT PPV. However, Wyatt could take the IMPACT World Title off whoever is holding it at the time at Full Throttle and take it to IMPACT.

The end of October and beginning of November will be an exciting time to be a wrestling fan. Only time will tell where this giant talent ends up, but I’m sure he will do great things there they just have to…Let Him In.

Do you think Bray Wyatt will end up in AEW or IMPACT? Where do you think would be a better fit for him? Who in IMPACT do you think would be a good first feud for Wyatt?  Join the Kult Of Windham like me and leave a comment below.
