Deadline has reported that Jonathan Majors is in talks to play Michael B. Jordan’s ring nemesis in the upcoming boxing drama. The deal isn’t quite done yet and they are working through the logistics of Majors’ busy dance card.
Jonathan Majors Stepping Into A New Ring For Creed 3
Jonathan Majors breakout role was in the acclaimed independent drama, The Last Black Man in San Francisco. Since then he was the lead in the acclaimed HBO series Lovecraft Country, starred in Spike Lee’s latest movie Da 5 Bloods and is set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the famous villain Kang The Conqueror in the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. He will next be seen in the Western The Harder They Fall for Netflix, and Black Label Media’s Devotion.
Majors would join the current cast including: Michael B. Jordan, Tessa Thompson and Phylicia Rashad. while Sylvester Stallone won’t return this time. Jordan is set to make his directorial debut. The script is written by Zach Baylin and Keenan Coogler.
