Character-driven RPG, Wildermyth will be officially released on Steam, after a successful Early Access period.

The charming Worldwaker Games title has been in Early access since November 2019 and during its early access period, it has gained a ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ rating. This includes over 96% of players recommending the game. The official launch of the renown storytelling RPG is now set on Steam to be released June 15th this year.

Wildermyth

Wildermyth is a party-based procedural storytelling RPG where tactical combat and story decisions will alter your world and reshape your cast of characters. The game follows heroes over their whole careers, from their pitchfork days to their powerful primes, and on into old age and memory. Victory (or death, whichever comes first) isn’t the end. Heroes go into the player’s “Legacy,” and can show up in future playthroughs. Over the course of several stories, Legacy heroes grow into larger-than-life myths.

Wildermyth‘s Legend Continues

Wildermyth

Wildermyth’s “secret sauce” is its procedural narrative, where player choices affect the story, the characters, and the game world. Players don’t just create characters, they grow them, and guide them through the ups and downs of life. With its papercraft art style, strategic turn-based tactical combat, and offbeat humor, it’s an experience unlike most others.

“We’ve been excited and humbled by the response Wildermyth has received on Steam Early Access so far…We can’t wait for even more players to create their characters and take them through this really unique RPG journey of growth, love, loss, and sacrifice.”

Nate Austin, Co-Founder and Lead Programmer, Worldwalker Games –

With such engaging story elements and enjoyable gameplay, it will be great to see such a brilliant title finally have its official release. It is common to see new games release as early access by independent developers or smaller game studios. This may be great, or bad, for the game depending on how stable or simple it is in the beginning. For this title, it’s great to see that it is now a finished game and players can now dive in to it as an official release.

For more information on the game, visit Wildermyth.com, join the game’s Discord server, or check out the Steam Store page.

Long time fan of Tokusatsu fan since Power Rangers was first released in the 90s. Whereas most Superhero fans grew up with DC Comics and Marvel, my childhood was surrounded by releases from Saban Entertainment such as Beetleborgs, along with anime, and other various fads of the generation. Anime is also a great passion with Digimon, That Time I Was Reincarnated As A Slime, and Demon Slayer being significant favorites. It was the love of both Power Rangers and Digimon that led to the path of becoming a Senior Writer for The Illuminerdi.
