A final trailer for the highly anticipated movie A Quiet Place Part II was released as the movie nears its release. And it perfectly builds up the hype for the thriller.
A Quiet Place Part II is Paramount Pictures’ dramatic horror-thriller and the sequel to John Krasinski’s successful horror blockbuster from 2018, A Quiet Place. Both of which follow a family that’s forced to navigate and survive in a post-apocalyptic world inhabited by blind monsters that hunt using sound.
The sequel picks up where the first movie left off and continues to follow the surviving members of the Abbott family. Emily Blunt returns as Evelyn, who must now take her children — Regan (Millicent Simmonds), Marcus (Noah Jupe), and her newborn — out into the world beyond their home. It also takes us back to before the first movie’s events, which showcases how the world became a place where silence is not enough. Also, Krasinski reprised his role for those pre-outbreak sequences.
The highly anticipated sequel is written and directed again by Krasinski. A Quiet Place Part II was days out from releasing in theaters on March 20, 2020, and already had its world premiere on March 8, 2020. Then the global pandemic hit, putting the movie’s release on hold.
A Quiet Place Part II is finally set to premiere later this month, fourteen months after its initial theatrical delay. So Paramount released one last trailer before its release to reignite the hype for the film. The trailer reveals more about how the outbreak began while teasing just how bad things have become in the present day.

A Quiet Place Part II: Final Trailer
“It’s been quiet for far too long,” is the new tagline for the film. The new trailer begins with Krasinski’s character Lee and his daughter Regan during the day the monster outbreak happened. Then we cut to the story immediately after the events of the first film. The rest of the footage offers an intriguing glimpse of the terrors the Abbott family will face once they hit the road and start survival in the outside world and tries to save others along the path.
Generally, a sequel to a standalone movie would deal with the continuation of the previous film or it will be a prequel story or a story about new characters set in the same world as the first film, but John Krasinski managed to fit them all inside one movie. Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou are the new additions to the cast whose characters seem to be helping the Abbott family in their fight.
Krasinski previously said that he was hesitant when Paramount approached him to make a sequel, but he said that he came up with an idea that excited him and his real-life and on-screen wife Blunt. He also said that Millicent Simmonds’ Regan character is the lead of the story. While Krasinski has called A Quiet Place a “love letter” to his kids, he thinks of A Quiet Place Part II as the reverse, a love letter from the kids to the parents.
