DC Comics and Warner Bros have officially announced that the DC FanDome Event will be returning October 16 of this year. With conventions like San Diego Comic Con cancelled last year due to the global pandemic, many studios and conventions started to get creative in launching their very own virtual fan events to keep fans excited for their upcoming projects.

One of those events was DC FanDome which featured virtual panels covering many of their films, TV and animation, and Video games coming from DC Comics. This fan event found success when it launched in August 2020 and racked up 22 million views for the event across 220 countries and territories during its 24-hour streaming period. The event also invited fans to join Q&As with cast and crew of Wonder Woman 1984 and other tentpole releases.

DC FanDome is Back in 2021

Last year’s DC FanDome started off with a blast with the drop of a trailer for Zack Snyder’s Justice League and giving us our first look at Robert Pattinson in The Batman. The event didn’t just have movies and TV shows, but they also unveiled gameplay footage for their upcoming video games like Gotham Knights and Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. There is no doubt there will be plenty of content to cover for the upcoming year especially with HBO Max launching last year as well.

So far, DC has not revealed any details for any panels or sneak peaks in the announcement but, October is still months away. This will give fans of enough time to speculate on what Warner Bros has in store for the virtual con. There’s plenty of DC content on its way, it’s possible we might get a second trailer for The Batman since it got pushed to March 4, 2022, maybe they will show off more gameplay or trailers for their upcoming video games, or a teaser trailer for the Black Adam movie starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
