The Powerpuff Girls have been fighting crime and saving the world since they were little girls. Now with CW’s Powerpuff the trio are adults living life while dealing from the aftermath of public superheroing.
CW has found its live-action Powerpuff Girls in Chloe Bennet, Dove Cameron and Yana Perrault as Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup respectively. We also learned who will be portraying their creator and father, Professor Utonium, Scrubs’ Donald Faison.
Nicholas Podany Is Mojo Jojo Jr. in Powerpuff Girls
The show has tapped Nicholas Podany to play Joseph “JoJo” Mondel Jr. Who is this new character? He’s the son of the villain MoJo JoJo. In the cartoon, Mojo JoJo was one of the top baddies to take on the Powerpuff Girls and was quite the popular adversary.
When Junior was a kid he had a strong obsession with the heroines and now as an adult he is most happy when involved in battle. His father, Mojo JoJo was originally the lab monkey that assisted Professor Utonium and had his DNA mutated, which led to him being a supervillain.

It will be interesting to see if the show will investigate how the son of Mojo came to be, and who was the mother to JoJo Jr. It will also be interesting to see how the show will introduce Mojo JoJo. Podany has appeared in shows like Hart of Dixie and Archive 81 and on Broadway as Albus Potter in the Harry Potter and The Cursed Child play.
