WONDER GIRL Live-Action Pilot Will Not Move Forward At The CW Confirms Writer Dailyn Rodriguez

A Wonder Girl series has been in development for quite a while for The CW. Unfortunately, it does not look like this series will come to fruition as the network has passed on the series.

It was announced a while back that a Wonder Girl series was in development at The CW and that it would be the Yara Flor version of the character. Interestingly at the time of this announcement Yara Flor had yet to make her first appearance in the comics.

Sadly, it doesn’t look like the character will be coming to live-action quite yet. One of the writers the project took to Twitter to inform fans that the series will not be picked up.

“So some sad news. For all of those asking, Wonder Girl is not getting picked up at the CW. I was very proud of the script I wrote. Wish I could’ve shared the world I created, but unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be. Thanks for everyone’s enthusiasm. It meant a lot to me.”

Could Wonder Girl Have a Future on Another Network?

This Wonder Girl may have fans questioning whether the show could be picked up on another network or streaming service like HBO Max.

In her tweet, Dailyn Rodriguez seemed like after Wonder Girl wasn’t picked up it was pretty much over, so it seems unlikely that it will be picked up elsewhere. This doesn’t make it an impossibility but it definitely does not seem likely.

Despite this news, fans can still see Wonder Girl in live-action. The Donna Troy version of the character will still be in the third season of Titans, despite her death in the season 2 finale.
