The Heroes Reborn comic book series will return in 2021 as announced recently by Marvel Comics. The announcement was released to fans on Twitter with a image, which displayed the logo of the show along with the enticing “Whatever happened to Earth’s Mightiest Heroes?”.
The ‘Heroes Reborn comics were a special crossover story arc that first released in 1996. This comic book series included many renown Marvel characters and was only a limited series. During the same year, several comic heroes, including the Avengers, were given a relaunch in their own separate universe. The team of the special event included Jim Valentino, Jeph Loeb and others worked on the series. However, Jim Lee and Rob Liefeld were also in the project team, which is fascinating since they were no longer employees of Marvel but returned to participate.
Heroes Reborn (1996) occurred after an epic battle with Onslaught, which included many Marvel heroes sacrificing themselves in order to save the planet. Even though they died, Franklin Richards managed to find a way to save them and created a pocket universe for them to live in. This begins the Heroes Reborn story.
This comic book event was created and designed to be a fresh starting point for Marvel Fans. The primary objective was to streamline all the continuity, however, the project didn’t work out as desired. This is due to Heroes Reborn only lasting a year and the finale being rushed. The characters also ended up being placed back into the main Marvel Universe with a series of ‘Heroes Return’ specials.
