Taya Valkyrie Leaving IMPACT To Wrestle In Parts Unknown

Taya Valkyrie has finished her contract with IMPACT Wrestling and has been written off of TV.

Taya Valkyrie has finished her contract with IMPACT Wrestling and has been written off of TV.

Valkyrie had her final storyline end and it ended with a bang. It was revealed on IMPACT that Taya Valkyrie had set up John E. Bravo to be shot at his wedding with Rosemary. She didn’t want her friend Rosemary to marry Bravo so she had him shot to try to stop the wedding. However, this caused two problems. Bravo survived and Rosemary needed Bravo to be her virgin sacrifice.

All this came out and Taya Valkyrie was taken into custody, but not before saying a touching goodbye to Rosemary. As Valkyrie was escorted out Tommy Dreamer and Bravo talked about her going to prison and the different cities she could end up in. All three of these cities were subtle nods to three promotions she may windup in. The first being Jacksonville where AEW is taped, Stamford which is a nod to WWE Headquarters and finally Baltimore where ROH operates out of.

Taya Valkyrie Owned The Knockouts Division

Taya Valkyrie has been with IMPACT since 2017. Since her debut she had become one of the top women on the roster. She became the longest reigning Knockouts Champions of all time. She was originally signed to a two-year contract with the promotion, but she ended up extending it to three. Her contract ended at the end of 2020, but decided to stay a little longer to put over the current Knockout Champion, Deonna Purrazzo, at Hard To Kill.

Now that Taya Valkyrie is gone, she has a lot of options as to where she could end up. Valkyrie showed everyone her talent in her time at IMPACT, but first became a recognizable name in her time with Lucha Underground. Taya Valkyrie is the total package with her charisma, mic skills and in-ring ability.

AEW is always looking for new talent, but they may take a deeper interest in Valkyrie because they have often been criticized for their lacking women’s division. Valkyrie will bring her big name and immense talent to the struggling division. AEW would be really dumb to not be courting her.

Then we have WWE of course. The company has put a big focus on the women’s division in the last few years and have some of the best female wrestlers in the world. However, the division does still have a clear divide between some of the skill levels. All the women are good wrestlers, but some of them are great. Taya Valkyrie could be another great wrestler to add to the roster.

However, I would be shocked if Valkyrie doesn’t sign with WWE for one reason alone.  John Morrison is her husband.  The pair have been married since 2018.  It would make sense that she would want to spend more time with her husband.

Where do you think Valkyrie will end up?  Do you think she would do better in AEW with their weak talent pool? Or with WWE with their very deep talent pool and potentially get lost in it?  Let us know what you think in the comments below.
