If you are not familiar with January 19, it’s National Popcorn day. In celebration of this very special day, Disney+ has dropped a brand-new trailer for Pixar Popcorn, arriving later this week.
The new Disney+ original will feature a collection of 10 mini shorts, all of which include characters from fan favorite Pixar films like Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Cars, and The Incredibles.
Each short will give us all new bite-sized stories created by Pixar Animation Studios’ talented artists and animators.
Pixar Popcorn For When You’re Snacking
As you can see in the video below, the trailer gives us a glimpse at how Pixar’s most beloved characters will continue their stories in an animated short film. We see the likes of Luigi and Guido dancing in front of Flo’s V8 Cafe to Dash firing lasers with Jack Jack’s eyes in the yard.
At the end of the trailer, we’re given a list of titles for each new short: Dancing With The Cars, Unparalleled Parking, Soul Of The City, Cookie Num Num, Chore Day The Incredibles Way, Dory Finding, A Day In The Life Of The Dead, To Fitness And Beyond, and Fluffy Stuff With Ducky & Bunny. Pixar has given a taste on what you can expect with each title, however, the studio is keeping their last short a secret until the series premiers this Friday.
Disney announced the project during their Investor presentation back in December as part of Pixar’s content launch on the streaming platform. Fans will be delighted to see their favorite characters living life in a mini short story, especially since we’re getting brand new stories set in new Pixar films such as the most recent releases Soul and 2017’s Coco.
This year will be a big one for the studio as they are releasing their next major feature film, Luca, that is expected to debut in theaters on June 18th. In the meantime, get your popcorn buckets ready and re-watch each Pixar film before Pixar Popcorn drops.
Pixar Popcorn is set to premier this Friday, January 22nd, exclusively on Disney+.
