A former padawan recently revealed how Hayden Christensen scared them on the set of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith back in the day.

As every Star Wars fan knows, Christensen played Anakin Skywalker in the prequel trilogy prior to his turn into Darth Vader. In one iconic scene, he strikes down young innocent padawans because he has no choice but to cling to the dark side of the Force in order to save his wife, Padme.

Recently, actor Ross Beadman, who played the young force-wielder you can see in the GIF below, answered some fan questions on Reddit. When one fan asked what led him to step back the way his character did when Anakin ignited his lightsaber, Beadman responded: “From what I remember Hayden shouted ‘boo!’ and that startled me to add to my fear in the scene.”

That is some cool behind the scenes trivia, showing us one improvised scene, that certainly felt a lot more realistic, because of Beadman’s reaction.

Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith is the third movie of the prequel triology and is almost universally agreed to be this triology’s best. It shows the way how Anakin Skywalker becomes the legendary villain Darth Vader.
