Droid building, exploration, Jedi trials, and even darts. The gameplay trailer released for Oculus Quest’s Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge offers an expansive virtual experience for fans that will take them throughout the world of Batuu, and also teases encounters with one Jedi Master Yoda.
Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge: An Immersive Adventure
The description for the VR game is as follows:
In Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, fans play a droid repair technician who crash lands on Batuu after a pirate attack. In typical Star Wars fashion, they’ll quickly get swept up into a grand adventure on the outskirts of Black Spire Outpost. Players can converse with Seezelslak (Bobby Moynihan) in his cantina and be transported to other places and times in the Star Wars galaxy through his legendary tales. They can also receive important missions to complete in the wilds of Batuu, encountering new and iconic characters along the way, like the pirate Tara Rashin (Debra Wilson).
Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge sounds like it will give the player even more control than ILMxLab’s last VR experience Vader Immortal! Bobby Moynihan’s Seezelsak the bartender will guide you through the game as you partake in various minigames throughout Black Spire Outpost on Batuu when you play as an unnamed droid repair tech.
In another section of the game, it appears players will get a chance to control a new Padawan character named Ady Sun’Zee. Which enables you to wield a lightsaber, conspire with Jedi Master Yoda, and undergo the trials of a secret temple hidden on Batuu.
