What Minecraft Steve’s Addition To Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Means for The Future Of The Game

The latest Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character trailer broke the internet (literally in Twitter’s case) yesterday with the reveal of Minecraft Steve joining the game’s massive roster.

Now that we have all gotten to process this crazy news it is now time to take an in depth look at the importance of Steve joining the Smash Roster.

Minecraft Steve and More Come to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Minecraft Steve isn’t the only member of the Minecraft bunch joining the brawl as Alex, Zombie, and Enderman will also be joining him (assumably as alternate costumes).

This is huge news more Minecraft and Smash fans alike as Minecraft has quickly become the best selling game of all time releasing just over 10 years ago.

The reveal also once again highlighted the growing relationship between Nintendo and Microsoft who have collaborated multiple times in the past now, including the addition of Banjo and Kazooie into Smash in the last Fighters Pass.

It also goes to show that any character is possible at this point (if Piranha Plant wasn’t already an indication of such). I’d say it’s safe to say that no one is off the table at this point, for characters that originate from video games that is. I’m looking at you Goku fans…
