Actress Adria Arjona (6 Underground) has been cast in the untitled Star Wars Cassian Andor/Rogue One prequel series set for Disney+ in a starring role!
Adria Arjona: Rebel or Foe?
At the time of this article, there are currently no details available about who Adria Arjona may be playing. The series has been described as a “spy thriller” that will be following star Diego Luna’s Cassian Andor during the early days of the Rebellion’s struggle against the Galactic Empire.
Expanded material outside of Rogue One has revealed that Cassian was from a family of Separatists that opposed the Republic during the Clone Wars. Could Arjona be playing a battle hardened member of the Andor family? Perhaps she is just a close confidant of Cassian’s during his time as a Fulcrum agent? Or maybe she is an Imperial officer that Cassian entangles with time and time again. The possibilities are endless!
Cassian Andor Show Details to Date
Besides her role in Michael Bay’s 6 Underground, Arjona made her break out role in Pacific Rim: Uprising, opposite another Star Wars alum in John Boyega. She will also be starring in the upcoming Sony Marvel film Morbius opposite Jared Leto.
Adria Arjona joins a cast that also features stage actress Denise Gough, MCU vet Stellan Skarsgard, and Kyle Soller (Anna Karenina). All of their roles are under wraps as well. Genevieve O’Reilly and Alan Tudyk will be returning as Mon Mothma and droid K2-SO, respectively.
Tony Gilroy, who oversaw Rogue One’s re-shoots and re-writes, will be serving as show-runner as well as writing the pilot and directing others. There is no release date yet, as the production start date was halted due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
