We have new info on two new characters currently being cast for Marvel’s Ms Marvel.

As Marvel Studios ramps back up its massive production schedule, all the daily happenings for future Marvel Cinematic Universe projects are finally starting to come back just as usual. Both Black Widow and The Eternals are in the final stages of post-production remotely, as is WandaVision for its premiere on Disney+, and only a few days more of shooting remain for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Ms Marvel has also gotten a great deal of publicity the last few days, especially with the new rumor from The Direct confirming that Kamala Khan will appear in 2022’s Captain Marvel 2. This leads to another exclusive that we are so excited to bring, confirming some casting news for her own solo series on Disney+!

Ms Marvel’s Family Grows…

According to our sources, the production team at Marvel Studios is currently casting for two different roles in the Ms Marvel mini-series on Disney+. They are both set to be in four of the six episodes of the mini-series, one male and one female.

The male, with the code name Omar, is listed as a Pakistani American in his mid-to-late 20’s, a practicing Muslim and a self-proclaimed wiser older brother. He is also listed as modern and spirited.

The female, code named Willow, is listed as a 16 to 20 year old American teenager of Turkish, Moroccan, or Arab decent. Active in student organizations with a love of being in charge, she is described as a hijabi Muslim, woke, popular, stylish and smart.

Our best bets for who these characters could be right now are Kamala’s older brother, Aamir Khan, and her best friend, Nakia Bahadir. Both seem to be the closest fits in terms of characters from the Ms. Marvel comics, and both play such an important part in Kamala’s life as she transforms into a superhero.

The cast listing also gives a production date of November 2020 until March 2021, which should give the series plenty of time to complete production before its scheduled premiere in 2022. This is such an exciting time for the studio as they finally ramp back up to making superhero magic, and none of us can wait for all of this news to become official.

Who do you think these cast listings are for? When do you think Ms. Marvel will release? Let us know in the comments!
