We have an exciting new report for all those DC fans out in the world, as Rocksteady’s Batman Arkham series is on the table for a possible additional chapter. The next game in the Game of the Year series would extend the story much further then we expected.
It’s been so long since we have heard the name Batman in conjunction with the Arkham console series, and gamers across the country have been looking forward to having a new game in the series. However, most of the rumors that we heard in the last couple of years haven’t come to fruition.
Despite the multiple leaks that have been supposedly released, all previous suggestions of a new game have been proven false. So what makes this time any different?
Another Batman Arkham Coming To Town
Well, someone has been listening to the game community. According to a report by Game Reactor, Rocksteady originally planned to tease the new game at the now-canceled E3. That being said, the studio is still planning to give us some insight into the game by this summer.
Keep your eyes open, because the game could possibly be released sooner than we think. The rumored doesn’t come with many details, but it’s being said that another Batman Arkham could be released with the newly announced PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X at launch later this year.
The worst thing about all this is that we have to just wait and see. For one thing, Sony had a PS5 event a couple of days on its YouTube channel, and they didn’t show any signs of an upcoming launch title for the game.
To be honest, if the rumors come to fruition, we hope it’s not a reboot of the Batman series. Instead we hope for a continuation of the incredible ending from the Batman Arkham Knight game.
