It looks like Loki’s adventures could be continuing for a second season on Disney Plus. Despite the fact that the first season hasn’t even been released yet.

Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston, was killed in the third movie in the Avengers saga, Infinity War, but thanks to the Avengers traveling back in time in Avengers: Endgame is alive and on the move with the Tesseract. He will be next seen in his own self-titled show, Loki, coming to Disney Plus.

Two Seasons of Loki Mischief?

Loki Endgame

With the upcoming release of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D ‘s final season, actor Clark Gregg, who plays SHIELD agent Phil Coulson, spoke with Variety about the end of the TV era for Marvel. In the interview he spoke about the way Marvel Studios is producing multiple small-screen projects and casually revealed details of Hiddleston’s contract for Loki, that were previously unknown. Here is what he had to say:

“I’d be lying if I didn’t say boy, that would really be interesting to start the experiment over. Doing 10 episodes or 12 episodes the way Tom Hiddleston told me he was doing [on Loki] with that kind of budget and that Marvel Cinematic production team.”

The fact that Loki may have 10 or 12 episodes planned is not unique, as many new shows regularly get 13 episodes. However, the Marvel/Disney+ shows are reported to have budgets of $20 million dollars or more per episode, so the production values should be extraordinary. It also looks like Hiddleston’s show will have a bigger budget to play with and will have the cinematic production team working with them to make it better than ever.

It’s likely that this number isn’t for the first season, but could be the total number of the first two seasons combined. No matter what the case is, this show promises to bring a new look to the TV side of Marvel and will bring the power of the cinematic universe with it.
