Zack Snyder continues to tease DCEU fans with a brand new reveal of Ryan Choi.

The long-awaited Snyder Cut (now known as Zack Snyder’s Justice League) has finally been announced to be coming to HBO Max in 2021. Following the announcement, Snyder has continued to tease the project by revealing an image of Ryan Choi, aka The Atom. Choi didn’t initially appear in the theatrical version of the film, but will presumably show up in the new version.

Snyder has shared images of Orion Lee as the role of Ryan Choi in Zack Snyder’s Justice League and it has gotten fans excited for the possibility of the character showing up future movies.

Lee has not been in too many other projects but he is known for his work on Warriors and was even an extra in The Last Jedi.

Special Look at Ryan Choi in Justice League

Ryan Choi Justice League

Lee was originally only credited as “Star Labs Scientist,” but has now been revealed to actually be Ryan Choi by Snyder himself.

It is assumed that Choi will have a larger role in Zack Snyder’s Justice League as opposed to the theatrical cut. It’s currently unknown whether or not Choi will actually shrink down in the film, however, as of now it seems unlikely.

Ryan Choi is of course better known as the DC Comics’ superhero The Atom, taking mantle over from the original Atom, Ray Palmer. Choi is described as “a young hotshot professor who’s filling the extra spot on Ivy University’s teaching staff. … and who inadvertently ends up filling the old Atom’s super-heroic shoes.”

If you want a refresher of some of what Zack Snyder’s original vision was going to look like, the original sneak peek from SDCC is great, as Snyder was still on the project at this time. While it doesn’t show anything huge that we haven’t already seen, it’s still cool to go back and see what the tone of the film was originally going to be at that time.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League is set to release exclusively on HBO Max sometime in 2021.
