Less than 48 hours after the virtual season finale episode of CBS’ courtroom drama series All Rise aired, the show got the green light for season 2.

Alongside 22 other show renewals, All Rise is coming back this upcoming Fall TV Season. This was a landmark show for CBS to take on, and they did amazing with it. And for those who are just discovering the show for the first time, here is the official series description:

All Rise follows the chaotic, hopeful and sometimes absurd lives of its judges, prosecutors and public defenders, as they work with bailiffs, clerks and cops to get justice for the people of Los Angeles amidst a flawed legal process. Among them is newly appointed Judge Lola Carmichael (Simone Missick), a highly regarded and impressive deputy district attorney who doesn’t intend to sit back on the bench in her new role, but instead leans in, immediately pushing the boundaries and challenging the expectations of what a judge can be.

All Rise Is Not Alone

One of the big factors in renewals this year must have been the inability to get pilots underway due to production shutdowns. Due to that, there are plenty of shows that CBS renewed for next season. The other 22 renewals include:

  • Bull
  • NCIS
  • NCIS: Los Angeles
  • NCIS: New Orleans
  • Mom
  • The Unicorn
  • Young Sheldon
  • Evil
  • FBI
  • FBI: Most Wanted
  • Blue Bloods
  • Bob Hearts Abishola
  • The Neighborhood
  • Magnum P.I.
  • McGyver
  • Seal Team
  • SWAT
  • Survivor
  • The Amazing Race
  • 48 Hours
  • Undercover Boss
  • 60 Minutes

This TV season, only 4 shows were axed by CBS. Those shows are:

  • Man With A Plan
  • Tommy
  • Broke
  • Carol’s Second Act

This upcoming fall season for CBS looks to be super strong, and they should also be announcing what pilots (if any) they have pickup in the coming weeks. However, it’s quite likely that those will have to be held until midseason due to the effects of COVID-1 on the film and television industry.
