The Clone Wars is celebrating its contribution to the Star Wars legacy in style.

May The 4th Be With You might be over, but Revenge Of The 5th is upon us and the celebration of Star Wars is not over. Disney+ offered exciting content for May The 4th Be With You, including the most recent Star Wars film The Rise of Skywalker, which allows fans to watch the entire Skywalker saga on Disney+ for the first time. Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian also premiered with the first episode of the docuseries which takes fans behind the scenes of the live action Star Wars series with never before seen footage and roundtable interviews with the cast and crew hosted by Jon Favreau.

The series finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars also premiered on Disney+, finally concluding a twelve-year journey and bringing us into the film Revenge of the Sith. And although the journey that has been Star Wars: The Clone Wars might be over, there is still some new Clone Wars content coming from Disney.

D23 is hosting a reunion of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars cast on Friday May 8 at 7pm EST/4pm PST. Star Wars: The Clone Wars Cast Reunion Challenge will be hosted by D23’s Justin Arthur and will include cast members:

Ashley Eckstein the voice of Ahsoka Tano
Catherine Taber the voice of Padmé Amidala
Dee Bradley Baker the voice of the many Clone Troopers such as fan favorite Captain Rex
James Arnold Taylor the voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi
Matt Lanter the voice of Anakin Skywalker
Sam Witwer the voice of Darth Maul

This reunion will be a chance for the cast to look back at the last seven seasons of the award winning animated Star Wars series. However, this will also include a bit of a challenge for the reunited cast. This reunion event will also “test them in the ways of the force” as the cast will be participating in a bit of Clone Wars Trivia.

Fans knew from the beginning that the series would have a tragic ending for Anakin, Obi-Wan, Padmé, and nearly all of the other characters introduced, but it was definitely worth the journey. The series was set after the animated film The Clone Wars and ran for five seasons on Cartoon Network before it was cancelled. However, a new sixth season premiered on Netflix along with the first five seasons. Disney+ brought the beloved series back for a seventh and final season allowing it to end as was intended with the final episodes lining up with Revenge of The Sith.

The seventh and final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars premiered on Disney+ February 21 and now you can watch the entire series on the Disney streaming platform. The seventh season saw the return of fan favorite Ahsoka Tano and revealed a bit of what she had been up to after leaving in the fifth season finale. The season lead to the inevitable events of the third Star Wars film Revenge of the Sith and even crossed over into the timeline and events of the film.

The final four episodes followed Ahsoka on the Siege of Mandalore arc and happened simultaneously with the events of the movie. There were scenes in the final four episodes that directly connected back to the events of the film and even tied directly into scenes from Revenge of the Sith

While Anakin, Obi-Wan, Padmé, and the Jedi were busy at Coruscant, Ahsoka was busy helping liberate Mandalore form Darth Maul. In the penultimate episode, the devastating Order 66 occurs and the Clones turn on Ahsoka as they do all of the other Jedi. Although the outcome of certain parts of the finale are clear if you’ve seen Star Wars: Rebels or Star Wars Episodes IV-VI it is still a hugely impactful episode with beautifully cinematic shots and gut punching emotional moments. There is even an appearance from the infamous Star Wars villain Darth Vader.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Cast Reunion Challenge will be on Friday May 8 at 7pm EST/4pm PST. You can watch the Cast Reunion on D23.com, Facebook.com/DisneyD23, or YouTube.com/DisneyD23.
