WELCOME… TO THE RAGE CAGE

The Rage Cage is the newest show to come from the minds of the Illuminerdi. The series will feature new debates every week, as we use the cage to determine who’s the better nerd. While the competitors aren’t being loaded into the actual Rage Cage yet (for social distancing purposes), these passions are running too high to wait any longer.

Each fight will be decided by fellow geeks everywhere, letting the Illuminerdi know who they think had the best points on social media – and why they know their side is right. So, let’s meet our opponents: Rick Sanchez and Doctor Strange.

WHO’S THE BEST TIME-TRAVELER?

Rage Cage Doctor Strange Rick

Rick Sanchez from of Rick and Morty is a genius inventor who uses his portal gun to travel through dimensions, universes, and realities – including across the time-stream. Rick goes on adventures with his grandson, Morty, and subjects him to constant danger and absurdity. Rick sees himself as the most intelligent man in the entire multiverse, even when compared to other versions of himself. While the man is a genius, he’s also a mess of a man – a gleefully misanthropic and spiteful alcoholic, while still consistently being one of the most brilliant beings in existence.

Doctor Stephen Strange is one of the heroes of the Marvel Universe, the Sorcerer Supreme and chief magical defender of the Earth. Counting himself as an ally to the Avengers, Doctor Strange has perfected multiple means of various reality-bending spells to defend the Earth, including how to travel through time. He can do this either through specific spells in the original comics, or with the use of the Time Stone hidden inside the Eye of Agamotto in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A gifted but haughty hero, Doctor Strange is one of the most powerful figures in the superhero universe.

After the episode, cast your vote who do you think is the better time traveler, Rick Sanchez of Rick and Morty or Marvel’s Doctor Strange? Make sure to check out the upcoming episode tonight at 7:45pm pacific, and vote for whoever deserves to be the very first winner of the Rage Cage!
