The Comics

Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra have both spawned a slew of comics over the years which have seen acclaim for fans and critics alike.

Both comics serve as continuations of the original shows and tie up loose ends to their respective series. The result gives fans a satisfying continuation to some of our favorite characters’ storylines.

If you’ve already seen The Last Airbender or The Legend of Korra I highly recommend these comics to fans of the shows.

The Last Airbender Live-action Movie

Haha just kidding! Avoid this movie at all costs. This movie takes everything that fans loved about the franchise and basically just throws it in the garbage.

Now let me show point your attention to a faithful live-action Avatar adaptation…

Avatar: Agni Kai

While technically cheating as this is a fan film, Avatar: Agni Kai from RE:Anime is the closest we’ve ever gotten to a faithful Avatar: The Last Airbender remake.

The fan-film is a recreation of the Zuko vs. Azula Agni Kai fight scene seen in the original series. The fan-film stars Yoshi Sudarso as Prince Zuko. The actor is known for playing Koda the Dino Charge Blue Ranger in Power Rangers Dino Charge, Dino Super Charge, Super Ninja Steel, and Power Rangers Beast Morphers. As well as Joe Shih the Silver Time Force Ranger and Green HyperForce Ranger in Power Rangers HyperForce. Yeah, he’s been around.

This fan film is great and I believe they also have a Legend of Korra fan-film in the works as wel,l so if you want to support RE:Anime click here to support them on Patreon!
