The final trailer for Star Wars: The Clone Wars seventh season is here!

The new trailer teases a bunch of epic sequences and long-awaited conclusions to your favorite characters’ storylines, leading up to Revenge of the Sith. It also features Ahsoka Tano’s reunion with the clones, while also showing her confrontation with Darth Maul. Which may ultimately reveal what Palpatine’s plan was for Maul all the way back in season 5 of The Clone Wars. Check it out!

It’s also expected that these final episodes will lead directly into Revenge of the Sith, showing exactly what happens leading up to that movie. I’m definitely expecting Revenge of the Sith to be forever changed in the minds of the fans after the aftermath of whatever is going to happen in the final episodes of The Clone Wars making Revenge of the Sith an even more heartbreaking movie.

Are Clone Wars Spin-offs Coming?

Star Wars: The Clone Wars

CBR has pointed out that the series set up multiple potential spin-offs for later down the line. I’m going to give my thoughts on the ones that specifically pertain to events from Season 7.

The Bad Batch

The Bad Batch was a fan-favorite ragtag group of mutant clones, that would work great for a potential spin-off (given they are not affected by the events of Order 66).

Featuring characters such as Wrecker the strong one, Tech the brains of the operation, their sniper Crosshair, their expert tracker Hunter, and the newest member of the team Echo, who was revealed to be alive in The Clone Wars Season 7.

The personalities are definitely there for this series and these are for sure some of the most interesting clones that The Clone Wars has introduced so I would totally be down for a Bad Batch spin-off.

Maul

Maul is another pretty obvious choice for a Clone Wars spin-off. He has he has become a huge fan favorite since his live-action debut in The Phantom Menace and still has so many questions about his history left to be answered.

The most obvious point of discussion would be his involvement with Crimson Dawn, as originally set up in Solo. While it doesn’t seem that Solo 2 will ever get made, a Maul spin-off would be very interesting and I’m sure that – fans such as myself – would be totally on board for a Maul show. Whether we get the series in animation or live-action.

Ahsoka Tano

An Ahsoka Tano spin-off is highly likely especially given that she will be returning in The Mandalorian Season 2. It has been the subject of rumors for weeks now and however it shakes out, we can expect to see Ashoka for years to come.
