There have been a lot of signs that the much anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI could be revealed in the near future. Keen fans have noticed an increase in videos on Rockstar’s YouTube channel as of late. While the account already has an abundance of content, they also have a handful of videos that haven’t been released to their YouTube audience. While some expect the hidden clips to be regular content, such as planned updates, others think it could be a trailer for the next installment of their Grand Theft Auto franchise.
The many unlocked videos were identified by French Rockstar fan publication, Rockstar Mag, early last month, but it still rings just as true. Rockstar has a single video that is unlisted or private. While we can’t definitively say if this is a trailer for the next installment of GTA, the rumor only picked up steam because they typically keep videos unlisted or, on “Private,” before posting significant reveals.
However, it’s also much more likely to just be a post pending approval for its cash-cow GTA V (or more likely its online variant), or something about Red Dead Online. Right now, all we can do is speculate and hope that the Grand Theft Auto VI reveal happens.
Is Grand Theft Auto VI Even In Production?
It’s pretty clear that Rockstar is working on Grand Theft Auto VI. There have been constant leaks, people with alleged knowledge of the development, and their tax reports, all pointing to the possible development of another entry. This isn’t even mentioning the rumored pressure that 2K may be putting on Rockstar to release games more consistently. 2018 was Rockstar’s last new release with Red Dead Redemption 2, so they might be overdue in the eyes of 2K.
