Who Will Carl Lumbly Play?

His role in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has not yet been confirmed. However, it has been heavily rumored that he will be playing Isaiah Bradley, who was an alternate version of Captain America in the comics.

A report from /Film seems to solidify this rumor, as their sources claim the show will deal with Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson initially declining the mantle of Captain America, “but ultimately changing his mind after discovering the secret history of the super-soldier program by encountering Bradley, who was actually the “original” Captain America. They go to say that they are unsure if Lumby will actually play Bradley, but are confident the character will be in the show.

The concept of Wilson not wanting to initially take up the shield has been speculated by fans ever since the show was announced. It will definitely be interesting to see how things pan out with the potential inclusion of Isaiah Bradley as another version of Captain America and where Sebastian Stan’s character Bucky Barnes fits into the mix
