Season two of the Disney+ hit series, The Mandalorian, is rumored to have added “The Boss” herself, Sasha Banks. to the cast.

According to the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast, Banks is set for a role in the second season of The Mandalorian series. They trust their sources, but also added that they can’t 100 percent confirm it. In a later tweet, they added that Banks has apparently has already filmed her scenes.

Where Has Sasha Banks Been Lately?

Since 2019 Banks has not seen a ton of on-screen time because of injuries and did not even wrestle at the Royal Rumble. Banks is apparently dealing with an ankle injury according to ProWrestlingSheet, but when Banks talks about the injury she stays in character. This makes me doubt whether or not that’s the real reason that she’s missing from the WWE landscape.

However, her absence may be because of her off filming scenes for The Mandalorian. Banks’ time away from the WWE just lends even more credibility to the rumor of her casting and filming.

Who’s The Boss? Spoiler Alert: It’s Sasha Banks

Banks has proven herself to be one of the top women in WWE. She was a standout in NXT and had two of the best matches I’ve ever seen against Bayley. When Banks was called up to the main roster her and some of the other top NXT women were given the nickname, The Four Horsewomen. A group which included some of the top women in WWE today, Bayley, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. The name is an homage to one of the most famous factions of all time, The Four Horsemen.

However, unlike a lot of NXT stars her stardom didn’t fade on the main roster. She had an amazing feud with Flair. The pair’s matches were often the best matches of the PPV. Banks has taken a step back from the singles division and has instead become a force in the Women’s Tag division. Banks became the first to hold the Women’s Tag Championship with her partner Bayley. Banks may now be taking her fame over to the Star Wars universe.

The Mandalorian And Baby Yoda Memes For As Far as The Eye Can See

The Mandalorian took the world by storm and was all anyone talked about for its entire season. However, to be more accurate Baby Yoda was all anyone talked about for the entire season. The show was what made the Disney+ service a success.

Unfortunately no details have been released on what Banks’ role will be in The Mandalorian if the rumors are true.  It’s also not known if her role will be a prominent one, or only a few short scenes. Season one of the series included guest stars like Bill Burr, Gina Carano, and Amy Sedaris, among many others. So it’s not uncommon to have a big name in an episode or two.

Season Two of The Mandalorian is set to premiere October of this year. What character do you think Sasha Banks could be playing? What did you think of Gina Carano’s performance in the first season? Who are some other wrestlers you would like to see guest star in The Mandalorian? I’d personally love to see Chris Jericho in some kind of role. Let us know what you think in the comments and on social media.
