It’s not that much of a shock that The CW has picked up Superman & Lois to air on the network next season. The characters haven’t had their own television series since Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman in the 1990s. However, they have had a heavy presence in Supergirl and the Arrowverse overall in recent years.
The new Superman & Lois CW series will bring back Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf) and Elizabeth Tulloch (Grimm) as Clark Kent/Superman and Lois Lane. Details as to who else is joining the cast are unknown at this time. The new show isn’t set to air for some time and fortunately for us eager fans… a huge piece of the show has just leaked.

Another Smallville and Superman Connection?
ManOfSalt is not wrong when he says it looks like the Rebirth suit, while someone else commented that the new costume seems inspired by a different source altogether:
One major thing about the new suit design is the belt. The current suit’s belt is smaller than the one in the image. A bigger belt might not be a bad thing and might really pop on TV.
TeejTurtle is definitely right about this suit looking like the season 11 suit from Smallville. Another thing about the suit is Keith Lau designed the concept image, and he also responsible for designing these other costumes:
- Green Arrow
- Black Canary
- Spartan
- Anti-Monitor
It’s interesting that his new costume looks so similar to the Smallville suit. It should be fun to discover how he gets this new version of his Kryptonian heritage in the upcoming series. Fortunately for all of us, it appears that the underwear is nowhere to be found on the outside of the suit. But for right now, we will just have to wait and see what the actual suit looks like in the series.
