Power Rangers Trini Kwan Might Be The Best Lightning Collection Action Figure Yet

Trini Kwan joins the Power Rangers Lightning Collection from Hasbro, and her action figure may be the best release yet.

Power Rangers: The Lightning Collection from Hasbro is the equivalent to the Star Wars Black Series or Marvel Legends action figures. They are highly detailed and extremely articulated. The collection has included Rangers from different eras of the show and has even incorporated characters from the Boom Studios! comics.

One complaint many fans have had, however, is the lack of female characters in the line. We’ve only gotten Mighty Morphin’ Pink Ranger Kimberly Hart, which is a big shame. But all that’s about to change, because the OG Yellow Ranger, Trini Kwan, will be joining the Lightning Collection!

iO9 was given the first exclusive look at Trini’s figure – and let me say that it is beautiful! The other figures from Wave 4 have been revealed prior to this release. They include: Jack Lander, Red SPD Ranger, Rocky DeSantos, Blue Zeo Ranger, and Blaze, The Beast Morphers Cybervillain.

Trini will come with her Blade Blaster, Power Daggers, two yellow lightning effects, and her swappable civilian head and yellow sabertooth tiger helmet. Check out these beautiful images of her Lightning Collection action figure below.

The late Thuy Trang played Trini Kwan in the first two seasons of Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, but she ultimately left the show with the original Red Ranger, Austin St. John and the original Black Ranger, Walter Jones. That would end Trini’s time on the show, but her legacy lives on in the Boom Studios! Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers and Go Go Power Rangers comic book series.
